Garegin Davtian 

Born in 1954 Yerevan, Armenia

Education

1973 - 1978 Fine Arts and Drama Institute the Faculty of sculpture

From 1983 he is the member of Artist’s Union of USSR.

From 1990 he began to teach in the Academy of Fine Arts in Yerevan.

Exhibitions and Awards 

1989 - “ Bronze Medal” , International bienale of small plastic in Poznan, Poland

1989 - Special prize for his sculpture“ Hiena’s parade”. “Best sculpture of the year”

1990 - Ivan Pavel Papas “A Big Golden Medal” in Ravenna(Italy) for his sculpture“Sin of vanity” in Dante bienale

1993 - Town Gallery, Sant-Galen ,Switzerland

1993 - Town Gallery, Lugano, Switzerland

1993 - Rihen’s municipality’s building, Bazel, Switzerland

1993 - “ Palexpo”, Geneva, Switzerland

1994 - First prize for his sculpture“The gates of purification”, bronze, Ravenna, Italy  XI  international festival.

1996 - Exhibition of armenian sculpture and graphic arranged by scientific society called “Urania”

From 1996 he was the member of jury of international bronze sculpture dedicated to Dante Alighiery in Ravenna (Italy)
